Ryder Cup Format

Team Competition: 6 vs 6

The Swings for the Spectrum Cup follows a classic team-based rivalry. Twelve golfers are divided into two squads for a 6 vs 6 battle. This intimate format ensures every match carries significant weight for the final leaderboard.

Match Types
  • The competition includes four distinct phases across the Ozark terrain:
  • Alternate Shot: Teammates play one ball, alternating shots until the hole is finished.
  • Fourball (Best Ball): Each player plays their own ball; the lowest score for each team counts.
  • Team Matchplay: Each team records both playing partners score, lowest total wins the hole
  • Singles: Pure head-to-head match play on the final day.
Scoring & Fair Play

Each match won earns 1 point for the team; a halved match earns 0.5 points. The first team to reach a cumulative majority of total points is declared the Swings For The Spectrum Cup champions. All play adheres to USGA rules with local Big Cedar modifications where applicable.
